Historical Room, Blackstone Public Library

Booking Period: Between 15 minutes and 2 hours
Any group/patron 14 years or older may use the Blackstone Public Library Historical Room. This room is available for individuals or groups, and may be used for historical research, quiet study, and meetings. Patrons using the Historical Room must follow the library’s Behavior Policy. Failure to adhere to the Behavior Policy will result in the loss of room usage.
The room may be reserved for up to one month in advance, for a two-hour period per day. If no one is waiting to use the room, the patron may inquire at the circulation desk and re-register for another two hours. Exceptions may be facilitated through the Library Director.
A reserved room will be held for up to fifteen minutes after the reservation period begins before the room becomes available for use by another group/person.
No food or drinks.
Flash photography is not allowed.
Children, performing research, must be accompanied by an adult.
Items from the Historical Room do not circulate and cannot be removed from the library proper.
Quiet Study #1, Blackstone Public Library

Booking Period: Between 30 minutes and 4 hours
The primary purpose of the Blackstone Public Library’s Meeting Room is to provide a meeting place for library events, which are intended to enrich lives and encourage self-education. Official and community groups are welcome to use the room for educational, cultural, or civic meetings and events in accordance with the following policies. Permission to use the Meeting Room does not constitute endorsement of a group’s philosophy, policies, or activities by the Blackstone Public Library.
